Other Ribbon Cable Connectors

  • There are many other types of ribbon cable connectors that might require you to mix-and-match disconnection methods. Some Xbox gaming consoles have ribbons cables with a section that loops around the connector, and have a locking tab.

  • To disconnect this connector, use a spudger or clean fingernail to lift the looped tab away from the connector.

  • Then, use the tip of the spudger to push the plastic locking tab away from the socket—it should only move about 1–2 mm.

  • You can now pull the cable straight out of its socket.

  • To reinstall:

  • Fully insert the cable into its socket under the locking tab.

  • Loop the tab around the front of the connector.

  • Use a spudger or clean fingernail to push in the locking tab, securing the cable.

Andere lintkabel connectoren

Er zijn veel andere typen lintkabel connectoren waarvoor je verschillende ontkoppelingsmethoden moet combineren. Sommige Xbox-gameconsoles hebben lintkabels met een gedeelte dat om de connector heen loopt en een vergrendelingslipje.

Om deze kabelaansluiting los te koppelen, gebruik je eerst een spudger of een nagel om het blauwe label los te maken van het contact.

Vervolgens gebruik je de punt van de spudger om de beige, plastic vergrendelklep open te duwen. De vergrendelklep zal maar ongeveer 2 mm bewegen.

Trek als laatste de lintkabel los door deze voorzichtig in de richting van de kabel te trekken.

Opnieuw installeren:

Steek de kabel volledig in de aansluiting onder het vergrendelingslipje.

Wikkel het lipje om de voorkant van de connector.

Gebruik een spudger of een schone vingernagel om het vergrendelingslipje in te drukken, zodat de kabel vastzit.
