If you need to change the height of your strings on your Ibanez SR405QM, follow this guide. The height of your strings greatly affects the playing of the instrument. If the strings are too high, it may be difficult to finger the notes with your left hand, and certain techniques like fingerstyle (tapping) maybe be overly difficult. If the strings are too low, they may hit the fretboard producing distasteful sounds.

Pay attention to the distance between both the fretboard and pickups.
Test the strings by plucking and take note of which ones are difficult to play or are producing an unpleasant metallic sound.

Using a 2 mm Allen Key turn the corresponding string's screw clockwise to raise the string and counterclockwise to lower the string.
The screw is located on the bridge of the guitar next to its corresponding string.
While modifying a strings height try plucking the string and listening to the sound produced until at desired sound.
