Also, sometimes professionals can be busy and possibly have you wait a week or so for them to come over and fix the problem. When gutters are leaking and one does not fix the problem, it could result in roof problems and wood rot.

Clean the area around the leak with a wire bush or garden trowel and a bucket, taking out the leaves and debris placing what you remove in the bucket and flushing the gutters with water using a hose to make sure you have a clean area, as well as rinsing and drying the area thoroughly.

Apply plastic roofing cement to any holes present in the gutters by working it into the hole or crack with a putty knife or trowel.
