If your Tonneau cover no longer closes due to a broken retention pin, follow this guide to replace it in your 2016 Toyota Tacoma with Tonneau Trifold Bed cover. You need to replace your retention pin to make sure your bed cover is safely closed and your items in the back of you truck are well kept . This job does not require any special tools.

    • Locate the two screws on the retaining latch.

    • Use an Allen Wrench to loosen the screws.

    • The screws are tight and may require significant force.

    • Line up the holes on the replacement latch, then insert the new screws.

    • Hand tighten both of the bolts onto the new latch.
