Screen Replacement 720p to 1080p is very dimly lit

After replacing the 720p screen, part number: LTN156AT24 with a 1080p screen part number :N156HGE-rev C1 , the splash screen is now very very dim(can hardly make out the thinkpad words). Then to dark to make out anything else. Any ideas to resolve this is greatly appreciated.
