Hello,
I recently cleaned out my PS4 as it hasn’t been cleaned since I brought it, there was a lot dust that I got out. When in the process I broke the shell that the fan wire sits in, this is the wire that is Red/Black/Grey in that sequence and it connects to the green motherboard. I purchased a new shell and replaced it. I started the PlayStation and I could here the fan finally working. However, after starting up a game the fan kept getting louder and louder and it sounded like a jet. The PS4 flashed a red light because it was overheating then it shut itself down. I then replaced the thermal paste and all the thermal pads in the PS4. I thought this would work but it’s doing the exact same thing, I start it up and it flashes red and shuts itself down. [br]
Ive taken all the measures to stop the PS4 overheating; Cleaning the dust out the fan and the rest of the PS4, used new thermal paste on the chip and replaced all thermal pads. [br]
Can someone please help me as during lockdown I can’t take this to a shop to get repaired. [br]
Thanks, Ben.
