Check the status of the WLAN adapter in Device Manager.
Open Device Manager (right click on Widows Start button, left side of Taskbar select link) and scroll down to Network Adapters, click on the > symbol to expand the list and find the WLAN adapter.
If there is a red cross next to it, right click on the entry and select ''enable'' and check if it works OK
