Yes it would be very expensive. In most newer cars “2000 and up" the motor is so tightly packed into the body of the car you would need to pull the entire motor out inordor to chance something like the timing chain. Also I believe the motor you have is what is called an interference motor. This means if it jumps / throws a timing chain they head of the piston will make contact with the cylinder head and valves. Now with a car as common as yours the parts aren't the big issue but I bet the book time is very high as I said earlier with pulling the motor out.
