If there's a problem with the hinge then unfortunately you may have to contrive a fix as they're not even shown in the [https://www.partselect.ca/Models/JVM1635SLJC01/Sections/MICROWAVE/?ModelID=7535021&ModelNum=JVM1635SLJC01&mfgModelNum=&ManufactureID=2&Selected=BA0FA88EF6CE0C1AE2157EF1DAA06FC5AD59D130&Position=1&mfg=GE&Type=Microwave&Mark=1|parts list] for your model and of the parts that are shown not many seem to be available anymore. Although I have found out that the GE JVM1630 series oven is very similar to your model series and they do list the [https://www.partselect.ca/Models/JVM1630BB001/Parts/?SearchTerm=hinges|hinges]¹ for it.

Just curious - does the fuse blow when you open the door after the cooking cycle has finished or if you open the door during the cooking cycle to stop the cooking cycle for whatever reason?
