Superdrive making noise whenever I move my MBP

Original-Beitrag von::

Hello, well I think the title says almost everything, so I have a MBP 2012 13" with an optical drive (DVD and CD reader) the Superdrive already present as standard in this computer. A few months ago I removed it to put a second SSD, but I ended up putting it back given the little use of the second SSD on my Mac running Linux.

After putting it back, I thought it was working as it did before but now the superdrive doesn't "suck up" (sry idk the best word for it in english) the disc when I insert one, except when I have almost inserted the entire disc, but I thought that that came from the fact that I use it under Debian and maybe it differs on Linux. Also sometimes the disc pops out as soon as I insert it.

But the biggest problem is this: every time I put a DVD or CD in, if I tilt the Mac and it's spinning the disc because it's reading it, there's going to be a noise, friction, a bit of a very regular click as if you were running your finger over a PC fan. I tested with CDs because I didn't want to damage my DVDs and when that happens, the music cuts out for a moment, surely a sign that the disc is moving inside and rubbing, then resumes when I put the Mac back on the right side and the noise stops.

So I wanted to know if anyone has already encountered a similar problem and knows a solution other than buying a new Superdrive (at this price I would rather buy an external DVD drive). Honestly I don't mind tinkering with the superdrive at all, if it helps resolve the prbl.

Thanks in advance !
