Background and Identification
Like a personal furnace, a down jacket can melt away the chill of a cold day. Patagonia down jackets are usually made with a durable yet lightweight recycled polyester shell material and a warm layer of premium down insulation. Patagonia offers many styles of down jackets, some designed specifically for alpine climbers, others help mitigate the chills and wetness of the daily commute. Unfortunately down jackets occasionally experience a rip or tear from a sharp object like snowboard edges or gnarly brush. Fortunately, they are relatively easy to repair.
