Is likely fuses, You have several fuses on the main pcb (under the rear cover) and 1 on the DC/DC (under the front cover grip area) I would check those fuses
It IS possible, but not recommended... First off, dropped in water now dry, appears to work fine, is the typical start of a hellacious long repair needs... I would just trade this in for a new one in my professional advice.... however if you want to do this, Take off the back, Take off the front, Take off the main board on the back Take off the LCD Take off the LCD frame Take off the top cover Take off the front frame Disconnect the lens unit electronics, Now for the fun and VERY difficult part, I HIGHLY suggest just buying a lens unit as the lens has almost 8 ways it can go back together but only 1 is correct. Actually just buy a lens unit off ebay... usually only 30 or 40 bucks for this camera, IF you think the rest is okay... I would still trade in personally.
Sounds like a blown fuse to me, if you don't want to pay to repair, try taking it apart locating the DC/DC pcb and checking the fuses. some times only a 50 cent fuse can cause this... Good luck
Yes, check out microtools , they have them on there.. however its possible you messed up the PCB as well, in that case its connected to the main pcb which is a Nikon only repair due to programming issues. Also if you attempt to replace, and it looks like poop, Nikon will kick it back for tamper damage and not repair at all. Good luck
I wont say yes for sure, but it does sound more to do with your power button assembly then anything... its possible its in a stuck position. its actually VERY common for iphone 4's to have a power button stuck issue... though normally you have to replace the plastic housing the holds in the assembly as well... or I normally do at least. Also clean out the housing and button area for any dirt or crud.
Sounds like a barrel tab broke, only way to fix is ordering a new lens unit, off e-bay. Usually after a lens unit, and a top cover needed for this camera... you will prolly save money just buying a new camera. unfortunate part of plastic point and shoots... If you want a really good Canon point and shoot series check out the G series... I believe they are on the G12 now, even the old G9 is a good one though.
when you dropped it you likely broke the cheap plastics inside that connect it and help change the modes... try replacing with a new top cover off e-bay
Put card in camera and format it through the settings. If it does not allow you A your card is corrupt, or B your memory slot is damaged. Try a new card for A if it still doing it, send in to repair shop for repair
Sounds like you are trying to take pictures in low light situations, this is a basic entry camera, low light quality pictures are in pro series level.
Blurry pictures come from the camera not being able to focus on an item, if you are in too low light and it can not find that item, you could also be taking the pic before it even focuses sounds like what ever you’re trying to use this for are quick and low light, both things you need pro series camera for. Check out the Sony A7R Mk iii for that performance.
If you do not believe it is above ^ then perhaps your lens unit is going back, usually the focus gear wears out, but youre describing more user error then camera error. ‘
Hello, you can try to push your lens unit back in alignment, look where it is cocked out and push opposite side. Sometimes that works, other wise you need to replace the lens unit motor or gear.
Are they at least 1.5v each? Not all new batteries hold their charge, use a voltmeter. This camera needs a minimal of 6V to work. After that try cleaning battery contacts with a type writer eraser
buy your self a memory card reader, take the memory card out and put it into the reader. it is also more reliable this way then using a cord from computer straight to camera.

perhaps a object broke off into the slot, it is common, look with a flash light to see if you can see anything then shake it out.
Barbara, this is a digital camera, not a cell phone.

try my fix, see if that works, if it does. You are good, if not, your USB or main pcb maybe the issue and need replacement
One of your gears in lens unit has broken, they do not sell just gears, must send in for repair. likely to be cheaper to buy a new one though
Broken tabs, send in for repair or use tape to keep shut
