MOSFETS got a high surface that allows to dissipate the temperature. That process will be tricky also because of usage of non-PB solder. 380C set would be ~330-340 effective heat on the component, which is barely enough to solder, and way to low for desoldering such heat dissipating element. Be careful thou, because glass-resin PCBs likes to boil at higher temps, which is deadly for multi-layer ones like in laptops. Consider pre-heating whole PCB with a heatbed or just the area around the component with air gun. What I would do: (1) Lots of lots of flux. (2) Add solder tin with PB using your iron to lower the melting temperature - especially at the gate/ground/NC-radiator-pin (whatever it is the largest surface) (3) Take away most of the tin (4) Reapply flux. Lots. (5) Heat it up with air ~400-420 should be fine if you would be fast. Good luck!
Mehr erfahrenHello! Could you provide more details about the case? Are you trying to power it on without charging, or the charging process couldn’t be started? If it is only about charging then your battery is probably dead and should be replaced. Therefore, you can still use your device with about 50% of battery capacity. To charge it properly after long period of time you need more than 3.3 V on Li-Po battery. If it is less the charging will never start. To overcome this situation you need to rise up the voltage of battery by cooling it (place wrapped in paper towel in zip-bag in refrigerator for 2 hours - do not try to turn on your watch but charge it ASAP). I hope it is the case.
Mehr erfahrenHello there! Probably the flex or connector on mo-bo is faulty. As far as I know Apple makes those parts very thin and fragile to avoid messing around by “unqualified personnel” (if only they would be qualified enough and not only using predesigned tools). Check if the connection is proper for your LCD flex. Clean with IPA, check for bend pins and check if the connector is not bend itself during unplugging. Alternatively check on different screen.
Mehr erfahrenIt could be caused by many factors: from electronic damage, software issue or just cache error. At first please try to clear cache: (1) Power off your device (2) Boot in recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Down and Power Button at the same time (3) Release all buttons when the LG X style screen flickers and in a few seconds the Recovery screen will appear. (4) If not try: (5) Power off your device. (6) Wait a few seconds (7) Boot in recovery mode by pressing the Volume Down and Power Button at the same time for 2-3 seconds until the LG logo appears on the screen. (8) Release the buttons and press them again until the Recovery Screen appears Then you should be able to navigate on menu to clear/erase/wipe cache - manage that. If you’re not attached to your data I would also recommend a full system wipe in the same menu. Check the results. Next thing would be to check if it’s not an software issue. You should gather more information about your current ROM version (should be visible in recovery mode)...
Mehr erfahrenIf it bothers you then go for warranty. The thing is if you can put your nail between housing and backpanel then it not good sign for phones waterproofement. Therefore the adhesive goes around the cover and it's about 2-3mm wide so it should not let the moisture through. For phone from this shelf I would definitely go for warranty.
Mehr erfahrenWhoa! You've replaced the screen by yourself? If yes then you should probably see massive corrosion on motherboard. If you've given this phone to service then they should deal with corrosion. But first things first: Your phone is probably a garbage. Hot water evaporates quickly and goes to every tiny space inside of practically anything. That's why it is good for cleaning. Water goes under electronic components and stays there if not evaporated properly. Great work with jar of rice thou! It often helps for little moisture, and in your case it helped. Therefore with rice methodology there is never a hundred percent certainty that all moisture has been drained. Over time little of liquid on electronics causes an corrosion (metal+moisture+oxygen+temperature) which is deadly to circuit boards. It shortens connections of micro chips and grows exponentially over time. If you had your device unused then corrosion gone wild and probably damaged some circuits. Therefore you should still give this one a chance. Get...
Mehr erfahrenIt seems that your 1st phone doesnt match with the screen. I would consider that connectors are bad/damaged and it is one-time situation. There is nothing that would point to soft/hardware damage. From my experience: I’ve had once an iPhone that shows random grids when turned on. It comes, that the display flex was little bit to short and the connector pops out of motherboard after placing the screen. In you case it seem that there is some damage or dirt on connector.
Mehr erfahrenGreat work young technician! You’ve done a great job by disassembling this power supply. If this would happen to me I would go for this battery and mount it back with no bothering. The good practice thou is to replace an damaged/used (for at least 1y) battery. Since your component didn’t blow up then it’s fine, but it could not handle the capacitance and act as faulty. Replace it if you wish. For further management: if the battery doesn’t feel like PlayDoh/you do not see any internal layers or battery is not puffed or bounded then it is fine. But be careful - power supplies are dangerous as #$%^ - you never know when it will blown up so keep your window open and your throw as far as possible ;)
Mehr erfahrenIf the screen was an cheap-repleacement part then it could be not suitable for your device. The good practice is to manage a hard reset of your phone after any replacement in order to get a new drivers adjusted to your component. Try that and then you should consider an PCB damage - not only the connector but whole ICs itself. The first thing that goes off when some one not provided goes into the device is an backlight IC, but in your case it could be just touch circuit. Try a new display after an hard reset of device. Then go back to this forum and get better answer than mine. Ps. After reading your post over again I would suggest to check for water damages. If the screen stops working after few hours it could be some dirt/corrosion on the motherboard near chips/capacitors
Mehr erfahrenTry to open your iPad in DFU/Recovery mode and manage a new software installation from your iTunes software. It should go with it easily and your device should work properly. However, error 400X, 200X or 500X could appear. Try to manage this process several times, but be aware that if some of those “thousand” errors appear the cheep-ROM-modules used by Apple are dead. Say goodbye to your motherboard.
