This question may have been answered already - maybe I missed it - there is a flex sensor cable at the top of the display - each end of the cable has some kind of sensor that fits into a notched area at the top of the iPad case. It also has other components that fit between the cameras and dot detector. Does this cable have anything to do with Face ID?
