The synchilla pullovers last way longer than the cuffs, as long as you do not overheat the jackets, the fabric is VERY rugged. Excellent idea that Patagonia figure out a replacement for these. I have replaced them on one of my jackets 3 times. I like to sew things by hand, and do not like to dispose of functional items. If you know someone with a good sewing machine and creativity they may be able to help out, people with sewing machines can do some amazing things!
