Hi, my name is Jalen Epps and I am a junior at Clemson University. I am majoring in Sociology with minors in Public Policy and Pan-African Studies. After graduating from Clemson, I would like to obtain a Master's Degree in Public Health, with a specialization in either Health Informatics or Social and Behavioral Sciences.
I knew I always wanted to go into the medical field when I was younger because of how much I loved helping people. However, when I got to Clemson, I started looking at the different fields in the medical field and Public Health stuck out to me. When I looked deeper into this field, I knew I had found my passion and I knew this is what wanted to do with my future.
In the past couple of months, I have researched and narrowed down the specific fields of Public Health that I would like to pursue. Those two fields are Health Informatics and Social and Behavioral Sciences. I chose these two fields because these two fields allows me to incorporate technology into my job and to use my major to my advantage. By completing this project, this will show my potential employers that I am able to complete tasks and it will show me that I can fix anything if I put my mind to it.
I have never repaired anything but I would like to learn how to fix an iPhone and a laptop as those are the two devices I use the most.
