Krazy glue dries hard. The first time you walk the separation will start. You need industrial type glue that has some flexibility. The glue they use when installing window shields on cars is good. Also using a magic eraser to clean it is silly. Use acetone to really clean the surface for the glue to adhere better. And using a book is an idiotic way to put pressure on it. At least use a bunch of rubber bands with the show stuffed with something. I find a bicycle inner tube works well for wrapping up the shoe.
