Hello everyone, I am Carlos!

I am a second year at Austin Community College majoring in Cybersecurity with a secondary focus on Programming. I love the technical challenge of programming and the logical focus on the major. I eventually want to graduate and become a penetration tester/IT consultant for a company and eventually start my own consulting firm.

One of my favorite hobbies is fixing, maintaining, and upgrading cars. My current project is my 2003 Nissan 350z named Toothless which I have done the maintenance on for a year.

Obviously I have included some upgrades here and there some of which include a cold air intake, bodykit, exhaust and upgraded bucket seats. I eventually would like to do some suspension and brake upgrades which will help me get Toothless on the track and turn some laps!

My iFixit Project will be the steps in how to fix a faulty coil pack in the VQ35DE engine which is quite common in the 350z 03'-06' model years. This engine comes in many other cars as well such as the Nissan Altima, G35, and Pathfinder making this fix applicable to many other car models.

My second favorite hobby is working out and trying my best to stay active. I wrestled for two years in high school which got me into the gym consistently. I currently go to the gym 3-4 days a week and do a cardio intense activity 1-2 times a week which includes rock climbing and no-gi jiu jitsu. I am currently in love with BJJ as it is like a human puzzle which is so challenging and rewarding.

I believe that this project is beneficial in the fact that it it showcases ones ability to break down complicated methods and algorithms into its most basic components and explain in detail how the individual pieces work together to be fixed. This is important in the analytical process which will help in my professional career as I am going into a very technical field.

Finally, I am always trying to improve and become more knowledgable in the world around me. Core values I hold to myself are discipline and undeniable hard work. I look up to people like Andrew Huberman, Alex Hormozi, and Chris Williamson. These people are always pushing the envelope of what discipline is and how to achieve it.
