Could a 1/16” hole be safely drilled in the back 1/4” of the pencil? I can’t tell if the metal behind the battery contains any electronics or if it’s just ballast. I need to find a way to tether the pencil without interfering with it’s ability to charge and cling flush to the side of the ipad.
