Pull out the old battery

  • This is the tricky part! Be careful not to puncture or bend the battery! The procedure followed here is actually not recommended, as you can see the battery is deformed after removal, which is dangerous. See this comment for an alternative procedure. In particular, I like the idea of using a wire (or dental floss) to cut off the battery from the back panel.

  • You can start prying out the old battery by picking at a corner if there's a flat piece of plastic without any battery stuff under it, as in the picture.

  • When the battery is about this removed, you may be able to just pull it out with your fingers.

El procedimiento que se sigue aquí en realidad no es recomendable, ya que, como se puede ver, la batería se deforma después de quitarla, lo que es peligroso. Puedes empezar a hacer palanca en la batería vieja en una esquina si hay una pieza plana de plástico sin ninguna parte de batería debajo de esta, como en la figura.

Cuando la batería esta así de fuera, puedes sacarla solo con tus dedos.
