Why no hot water?
Brand new tank just installed and no new hot water coming from the tank.

Surely there is at least a warranty on this.

Reset tripped circuit breaker or replace blown fuse. Confirm power is being provided to the electric water heating element thermostat. Test upper heating element and replace if required. If power is being provided to electric heating element thermostat, replace thermostat or heating element.

Either the circuit breaker at the electrical panel is in the off position, or the water heater may be off. Any of these scenarios could be the cause of a Rheem water heater not turning on.

Hi ... was it working earlier?
Check if there is electric supply to the water heater.

Please give us the model number. Right now we don't even know if it is gas or electric. Did you install it yourself? What was happening with the old one?

The electric power is connected ok.
A tradesman installed the tank to a brand new house. He claimed that he had done his part.
I am thinking that he must have at the beginning turned on the power before the tank was fully filled with water and that the heating elements got burnt out and therefore no hot water.
Do you think that makes sense?

@younpa brand new house means it never had hot water yet? Did you check to ensure you hare having water supplying the tank? Do you have a multimeter you can use to check the wiring and check for power? You can also check the elements with a multimeter? "turned on the power before the tank was fully filled" very unlikely

Been here since end of March this year. No problems til tried to hook up clothes dryer and now no hot water. Reset button not working
