My battery is not being read correctly
It says 16% but its actually at 1% or dead, the batteries are not swollen.
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

Just because the battery is not swollen, that doesn't mean that it is not faulty or hasn't failed.
Try replacing the battery and then check.
You need to start with a known good battery rather than trying to find a problem in a device with a battery which may have an unknown problem, still installed.
If you get the same result with a new battery then the problem is not the battery
