My honda Ballard has a speedometer not working

First off, can you clarify that we're talking about the "Honda Ballade", rather than the "Ballard"? It appears these cars were made from the 1980s to the present day, so we really need to know what year yours is. Engine size and transmission type (manual or automatic) would help as well.
