Yes it is a known issue by the manufacturer. They don't admit it until you've tried all of their phone support troubleshooting while under warranty. The digitizer craps out. Mine went just a few weeks outside of warranty and was a little worse than pulling teeth but finally convinced them to send me another one. I haven't done enough research yet to see if anyone has spent the tech time to fix issue without replacing the digitizer. But so far that's the best solution. This is not to be critical of the author as this is a well done guide. This is only a CAUTION to make sure that individuals do see this prior to prying the motherboard apart. A portion of the step that is not stated or pointed out here are the two Phillips head screws that MUST be removed from the motherboard as the picture in Step 5 will show that those screws have been removed. You must remove them or you will break your motherboard. Thanks for the great guide!
