I fully agree with you. I am still not able to remove the faceplate. It is heavily glued. It is impossible to remove the faceplate without breaking it. I think the information here is scam or at least does not work with the model I have. Nest/Google doorbell has a very poor design and that is on purpose, because they want to force you to buy another new one .
