  • The daughterboard comes out without a fuss, bringing the soldered-on USB-C port and lower microphone in tow.

  • Soldered-on isn't our favorite flavor of USB-C port, but at least there isn't much on this board, so replacements shouldn't be too expensive.

  • We frisk the edges of the phone to find ... two more mmWave antenna modules! Given 5G mmWave's limitations, having these directional, beam-forming antennas on each side (plus the third one facing the screen) helps the Note10+ achieve maximum effort.

  • The earpiece speaker looks pretty ordinary, except that it's completely trapped behind the screen. How do the songs get out? More on that later...

Das Daughterboard lässt sich problemlos entfernen und bringt den angelöteten USB-C Port und das untere Mikrofon mit sich.

Angelötete USB-C Ports sind nicht gerade nach unserem Geschmack, aber wenigstens befindet sich nicht viel auf dieser Platine, sodass ein Austausch nicht allzu teurer werden sollte.

Wir filzen noch die Kanten des Smartphones und finden ... zwei weitere Millimeterwellen Antennenmodule! Angesichts der Einschränkungen der 5G Millimeterwellen sind diese direktionalen, strahlenformenden Antennen auf jeder Seite (plus eine dritte gegenüber des Displays) hilfreich, damit das Note 10+ maximale Leistung erreicht.

Der Ohrhörer-Lautsprecher sieht recht gewöhnlich aus, außer dass er völlig hinter dem Display eingesperrt ist. Wie kommen da die Töne heraus? Mehr dazu später ...
