  • After peering into the heart of the Mate 9, we calm down a little and proceed with the more mundane removal of the motherboard flex cable and some connectors.

  • A daughterboard falls into our hands, and with tears in our eyes, we see—the USB-C port is soldered to it.

  • Nevertheless, this port is responsible for fully charging the Mate 9 in 90 minutes. Pretty nifty, as long as you don't wear it out.

  • Two MEMS microphones and likely an antenna tuner is seen on this side of the daughterboard.

Nachdem wir nun direkt ins Herz des Mate 9 gesehen haben, widmen wir uns jetzt erst einmal etwas weniger aufregenden Aufgaben und entfernen das Motherboardkabel und lösen ein paar andere Stecker.

Ein Daughterboard fällt uns in die Hände und es treibt uns die Tränen in die Augen als wir sehen, dass der USB-C Anschluss daran festgelötet ist.

Dennoch, mithilfe dieses Anschlusses kann man das Mate 9 in nur 90 Minuten vollständig aufladen. Ziemlich raffiniert, solange man ihn eben nicht ausleiert.
