Nerf N-Strike Elite Strongarm Cocking Mechanisim Replacement

Locate the 12 Philips head screws and remove them: Head Diameter= 4.3mm, Thread Pitch= 1mm, Screw Length= 8mm

Before removing the cover, make sure to first remove the cover for the cocking mechanism. The top half is freely removable.

Once the screws have been removed, lift the top half of the gun off.

Take care and try not to lose any smaller pieces as you open it up.

Remove the screw on the inside of the gun.

Screw specifications: Philips head, Head Diameter= 4.3mm, Thread Pitch= 1mm, Screw Length= 8mm

Remove the barrel from the blaster.

Remove the front component from the blaster.
-
Both components do not need any tools to be removed.

First, remove the trigger.

Then remove the cocking holdback.

Then remove the air compressor chamber.

Locate and remove the indicated screw.

This is the spring controlling the cocking mechanism. If the spring is damaged, replace it.

Where does the locking tab in step 5 go
on the top of the gun(Seeing from the position as if you're aiming)
Its only there for accesory so it still works if you don't return it

Where could I get a replacement for the spring that pulls the cocking mechanism back?
Please any links or information on the replacement springs? You can’t complete this fix without new springs….
So I had the same problem I fixed the gun without the return spring. It isn’t worth Jack. I found with a side by side comparison of the disruptor and Strongarm that on the catch the disruptor has a better spring which fits on an internal notch. On the Strongarm you have to compress the catch spring a bit to fit it in.
The piece of plastic that hoocks on to the plunger brock off so I cant find a spare part
What should I do?
