Standby light flashes 4 times
My Sony TV, Model KDL-46S2010 does not come on standby light flashes 4 times. What's my issue?

@sancar the 4 blinks indicate a backlight failure. This could be caused by bad inverters. Unplug your set and remove the back cover. Take a look at all of your boards and check for obviously damaged parts like leaking or domed capacitors etc. Post some images of all of your boards including who they all are mounted. that will let us see what you see. Use this guide for that.

Hi, just updating this. I sourced a replacement power board (from eBay) and this solved my problem.

Hi @oldturkey03, I’m hoping you’re still around as I have a similar problem with my Sony KD-65X9000B TV (four red flashes and no other response). The components on the power board look mostly ok but there is a slight smell around the top left of the board near the capacitors and diodes up there and it looks like heat has affected the insulation on those primary/secondary coils.
On the backside of the board there also looks like heat stress around those diodes.
Any suggestions, should I try to re-solder?
