Anyone found a way of getting the 3 1.2mm screws out? (step 13) They just won’t budge, and I think I’ve stripped the heads… What now?

Yep, only the 2.4mm came out, other 3 won’t budge, and worried I’ve stripped the heads. Anyone got any ideas?

Huge improvement! It’s like a new machine. Highly recommended upgrade.

Take care with the adhesive strips, and don’t forget to set new SSD as the boot disk (System Preferences, Startup Disk) after you’ve tested its bootable.

Worked fine. Only issue is that before installing the new drive, you need to set it as the boot disk (System Preferences, Startup Disk) Do this when you’ve got it connected to USB (after Step 12) - when you tested that it’s bootable. (I missed this and had a fraught few hours until Dan helped me out.)

This was the toughest part of the HD>>SSD upgrade.Removing all the gunk, and aligning the new strips took more than an hour. The rest half that! But all good now, Thanks Sam.
