Aaron, You are most likely experiencing this problem due to having insufficient random access memory (RAM) chips in your laptop. This is a very simple hardware fix that involves buying more RAM and should not take very long. After purchasing a new chip with more memory, remove the large plastic cover located on the bottom of your laptop. You will have access to your RAM once the plastic cover has been removed. Great question Spencer! A distorted/broken screen can be frustrating and replacing it should fix your issue. To begin fixing the problem, separate the broken LCD screen from the plastic casing. This is done by removing several screws hidden behind rubber protectors and along side brackets. Once the LCD screen is free from the plastic casing, two cables should be disconnected to completely separate the screen from the laptop.
