Ninja Foodi DZ401 Fan Blades Replacement

Zu Schritt 1 der AnleitungThis guide will walk you through replacing the fan blades for the Ninja Foodi DZ401 Air Fryer. Replacing the fan blades may be required if the blades are damaged, the device has poor air circulation, or the device makes excessive noise.
The fan assembly consists of an interior and exterior set of blades. This guide shows how to remove both sets of blades, as it may be difficult to identify which blade is causing issues. This process involves disassembling most of the air fryer, use caution before proceeding.

Position the air fryer so that the front is facing you and the top is accessible.

Using opening picks and a metal spudger, pry open the silver ring on the front, right corner.

Place an opening pick on the left side of the corner to hold the ring away from the cover.

Slide the metal spudger underneath the silver ring. When you find a notch, place the metal spudger next to the notch and pry up to release it.

Using a metal spudger, pry open the plastic top cover by inserting into the slots and pushing up on the tabs.

Rotate the air fryer so that the back of the air fryer is facing down and the base is facing you.

Remove the ten 15 mm screws from the bottom of the air fryer using a Phillips #3 screwdriver.

Remove the power cord cover.
-
Remove the two 16.7 mm power cord bracket screws using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Remove the four 11.1 mm screws from each vent using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Remove both vents.
-

Carefully pull the outer casing up from the back.

Disconnect the front display cable from the motherboard.
-
Fully remove the outer casing.
-

Rotate the air fryer so that the front is facing you and the top is accessible.

Locate the brown/orange wire bundle at the front of the air fryer and extract it.

Locate the white wire bundle at the rear of the air fryer and extract it.

Using pliers, uncrimp and remove the plastic wire caps.

Carefully separate the wires.

Remove the single 10.9 mm screw from the front of the heating element using a Phillips #2 screwdriver.

Gently pull down the heating element from the front.

Unhook the heating element from the rear hook.
-

Rotate the air fryer so that the front is facing you and the top is accessible.

Extract the white, red, blue, and black wire bundles.

Using pliers, gently uncrimp and remove the plastic wire caps.

Carefully separate the wires.
-

Disconnect black and yellow cords from the motherboard.

To disconnect, squeeze down the tab and pull the connector.

Disconnect both tab connectors.
-
To disconnect, tightly grasp the connector and pull it up from the motherboard.

Remove the four 13 mm mounting screws using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Carefully lift the motherboard up and remove it from the air fryer.

Remove the six 16.8 mm screws (2 on the sides, 1 on the front, 1 on the back) using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Rotate the air fryer 180 degrees, so that the other four 16.8 mm screws are visible.

Remove the two 22.6 mm rear corner screws using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Remove the motherboard mounting tray.

Remove the two 16.8 mm interior screws using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Detach the top of the air fryer from the base.

Rotate the top fan case so that the top is facing down and the fan blades are accessible.

Using an adjustable wrench, remove the bolt holding the fan on.

Remove the fan blade.
-

Remove the two 16.8 mm screws from the middle of the exterior metal case.

Remove the four 12.2 mm screws from the bottom of the exterior metal case.
-
Remove the exterior metal case.
-

Remove the eight 16.7 mm screws holding on the interior metal case.
-
Remove the case.
-
Remove the interior fan blade.
