I am a current graduate student at the University of North Texas obtaining a degree in Technical and Professional Communication. Previously, I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Radio-Television-Film.

I chose to go into technical communication because I have a passion for writing and an interest in communicating concepts and processes and breaking them down. My goal is to ultimately become a technical writer, and I have been working towards this through my education at UNT and my job as a graduate proposal editor in the UNT Research and Innovation department..

I wrote an iFixit guide for the Motorola V190, which was an invaluable experience. Prior to that, my experiences in fixing things have mostly been limited to my video game consoles, such as when I installed a new hard drive into my Playstation 4. I would like to continue to learn how to fix these consoles and their related accessories, especially old consoles such as the Xbox 360 and the Playstation.

I am skilled in written communication, word processing program, organization, and post-production programs such as AVID and Adobe Premiere.

iFixit has given me hands-on experiences with producing a detailed guide, and I look forward to developing this skill further with this new project.

When not in school, I enjoy reading, playing video and card games with friends, and watching movies (especially horror films!). In the fall, my weekends are occupied with cheering on the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys.
