Most hardware issues will require you to take off the laptops rear panel.

The computer will not respond or show any sign of powering on.

• Power Issues
  • Computers can sometimes just shut down randomly or not even turn on. One reason why this happens is because your power supply might not be working correctly. Another reason could be that you may also have some faulty/damaged cables. It’s always good to test your equipment to see where the power issues may come from.
• RAM Issues

• The Random-Access Memory (RAM) sticks might be improperly seated in its dim slot.
  • Solution: Reseat RAM stick in its slot; making sure to hear a satisfying click noise.
  • Alternate Problem w/ Solution: RAM stick(s) might be incompatible or broken and need to be replaced. To solve this, you must find compatible RAM with your system and use the solution above to install a new stick(s).
• Screen Issues
  • Screen may be dead and or disconnected from the laptop’s motherboard.
  • Solution: To replace the screen, you must acquire a screen that is compatible with your system. To place it, remove the computers underside and locate where the cables from your old laptop screen are coming from and replace what you remove.
• Fan Disconnection
  • Some computers will not power onto its OS boot up screen if the systems CPU fan is not detected/connected.
  • Solution: Open the underside of your laptop and locate where it’s fans are. Reconnect/connect them properly and try to load up the computer, if there is still no boot, your fans may be broken.

The computer will randomly crash when doing tasks, or just being idle.

• Device is Overheating
  • The computer will not power on or show any sign of powering on.
  • Solution: Check surroundings, make sure air intake isn't blocked. Also make sure room temperature is adequate.
• Dust in Fans
  • Computers can overheat due to excessive dust and other materials stuck in the vents or fans.
  • Solution: To fix this, use a compressed air duster to carefully blow the dust off the vents and fan.
• Inadequate Amount of Thermal Paste
  • Ensure proper contact between the heat sink and processor
  • Solution: Start by cleaning off old thermal paste, then applying new paste at the center of the processor, and securely reattaching the heat sink with screws.
• Hardware Malfunction
  • Check all connections and cables, ensure that the hardware is properly installed, and update your drivers.

These following issues will be for if the issues are software related.

• Operating System Issues
  • Blue Screen of Death (BSOD): an error that can occur due to various reasons such ass driver conflicts or system file corruption.
