XPS 12 9Q33
Background
The Dell XPS 12 9Q33 was a 12.5 inch convertible laptop that came out in 2013. As a hybrid between a laptop and a tablet, its key feature was a screen that can fold over and lay flat on the keyboard, turning it into a tablet. The XPS 12 was aimed at students and people with careers who wanted a portable device for the normal day-to-day activities like writing, browsing the net, watching movies, and online meetings or classes. Although its been a while since it came out, many of them are still around and may need some repairs or replacement parts because of normal wear and tear. Back when it first came out, you could purchase one for over $1000.
The XPS 12 9Q33 was mostly marketed at the North American and other global markets, and it was designed as an update to the earlier XPS laptops. However, this model has a rotating frame that lets you flip the screen over. People have reported some common issues with this model, like the battery wearing out after a while, the touchscreen becoming slower, and the hinge becoming unstable from being twisted back and forth excessively. Like all ultrabooks, components such as the battery and the hard drive may need replacement over time.
Identification
The Dell XPS 12 9Q33 is a 12.5 inch convertible laptop that stands out with its flip-up display that rotates inside a box, as opposed to a detachable keyboard or the rotating 360 degree hinge that came later. It has a silver aluminium body, a black carbon fibre interior, a backlit keyboard, and a centered trackpad. Its 12.5 inch Full HD touchscreen is tucked away in a sturdy bezel. Not like some of the later XPS 2-in-1s, this screen does not come loose, but folds in on itself to turn into tablet mode. If you want to find out which model you have, you can find it written under the laptop.
