Background
Sony released the Sony VAIO PCG-3E2L in 2008. The laptop is equipped with a 14.1” LCD screen, 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 250 GB hard drive, 4 GB memory, CD/DVD/CDRW/DVDRW/DL-DVDRW optical drive, Intel HD Audio, and built-in webcam. The laptop weighs 5.7 pounds and measures 13.2 in. x 1.14 in. x 9.6 in.
In April of 2010, Sony recalled the cooling fan in the Sony VAIO PCG-3E2L while offering free replacement for up to 48 months after purchase. There is also a frequent issue with color lines appearing and flickering on the LCD screen.
