Background
The KitchenAid KHM512ER Ultra Power Hand Mixer is a 5-speed hand mixer, released in 2012. It features two detachable beaters, swiveling power cord, and is available in 12 colors. It’s plastic construction gives it a low weight of 2 lbs. Dough hooks, whisks, and a liquid blending attachment are available as accessories, but it only includes two beaters. The attachment can be ejected by pressing the eject button on the mixer’s handle. The speed can be adjusted by a sliding switch below the eject button. It can be purchased from major retailers for between $40 and $60. Common issues with the mixer include beaters not ejecting and the beaters not staying in.
Identification
To identify the mixer, look for a model number on the sticker below the rear vent . It will be prefixed by "MOD."
