I am currently attending the University of North Texas as an MA student, studying Professional and Technical Communication. I chose this major because I enjoy learning about technical processes and believe that learning how to write and think technically are beneficial to anyone wanting to be successful in life. I plan on going to Texas Tech and earning a PhD in Technical Communication and Rhetoric so that I can teach at the university level.
As an aspiring teacher, I believe that it is important to learn how to perform technical tasks, such as repairing something, so that I would be able to teach the same or a similar topic in the future. I am excited about the opportunity to work with iFixit to learn how to repair something while writing a manual for that product.
I have repaired many household items in the past, such as sinks, washers, light fixtures, motor vehicles, and some farming equipment, but I never repaired smaller devices such as a camera, phone, or computer.
Usually, I have a pretty fun attitude and always enjoy making others laugh (as portrayed in the photo below).
In the free time that I get, I enjoy watching television shows and movies on Netflix (I’m really into Breaking Bad right now), listening to music, reading fiction, and playing guitar.
