Ninja Air Fryer Troubleshooting

The device will not turn on when the power button is pressed.

The Ninja Air Fryer has a two-prong power cord that must be plugged into a wall outlet. Ensure that the cord is securely connected to the wall outlet. If the outlet is GFCI protected, make sure that the outlet has not tripped by ensuring that the reset button is pressed down.

The Ninja Air Fryer has a safety feature that does not allow for the device to be powered on if the tray is not properly placed. To fix this issue, simply remove the basket and place it back into the device ensuring that the basket properly fits.

Timer does not prompt when pressing the time button.

Unplug the fryer and let it sit. Replug in and check to see if the timer is working. If not, press and hold the up arrow on the temp to try and restart the timer. Make sure that the timer is working and just not setting, and make sure you are pushing start to start the timer. Also check to see that the basket is in, allowing you to set the timer.

Air fryer controls are not working.

Press the power button to turn the unit back on.  The air fryer may be in standby mode if controls are unresponsive.

The device is powered on, but will not heat up to cook.

The unit needs time to preheat before reaching the set cook temperature. This might take 3-5 minutes extra to the original set time.

Make sure the device has reached the correct temperature before adding in ingredients.

My food didn’t cook.

For consistent browning, make sure ingredients are arranged in an even layer on the bottom of the basket with no overlapping. Shake loose ingredients for even crispiness. Cook time and temperature can be adjusted at any time during cooking. Simply press the up and down TIME or TEMP arrows to adjust the time or temperature.
